A solid but weathered Victoria on a prestigious corner in the Bucktown neighborhood was the setting for a prototype in extra small living.  Each unit in the building had 10’ ceilings, significant southern exposure and views of the skyline.  The small size of the unites, averaging under 600sf, dictated creative use of storage, maximizing views and light while creating private spaces for two professional occupants.  The solution incorporates new creature comforts; dishwasher, laundry, upgraded kitchen and bathroom.  The opening between the living area and the bedroom is relocated and expanded to privatize the bed but allow communication between the two areas.  A custom display case covers the end wall of the living area to display the client’s large collection of international erotica.
