avondale green space

The Avondale neighborhood of Chicago is undergoing a grassroots renaissance to reclaim vacants space, incorporate arts + culture, and infuse new economic development into the neighborhood.  As part the rezoning of Milwaukee Avenue to allow for live/work artist space on the ground floor of commercial buildings, the green space masterplan identified open space assets for potential green space redevelopment.  The document is currently being used by local community organizations, the chamber of commerce and alderman.
